 The Gathering Of Curious Minds

A weekend retreat for curious, multidimensional people seeking deeper conversations, meaningful connection, and a more integrated life

with Dr. Angela C. Meyers & Michele Quesenberry

What if your complexity is not the problem?

What if your many interests, inner parts, emotions, questions, gifts, contradictions, and unfinished longings are not evidence that you are scattered, broken, or “too much,” but signs of a larger self trying to organize into wholeness?

Interconnected Mind is a weekend retreat exploring the powerful meeting place between Internal Family Systems (IFS) and polymathy.

Together, these two bodies of work invite us to honor both our inner multiplicity and our outer multiplicity: the many parts within us, and the many ways we are called to learn, create, contribute, relate, and become.

This retreat is for people who want to move beyond narrow identities, inherited roles, old survival patterns, and overly intellectual self-understanding into a more embodied, connected, creative, and self-led way of living.

What We’ll Explore

During the retreat, we will explore questions such as:

What parts of me have been hidden, silenced, overworked, or exiled?

Where have I confused belonging with conformity?

What interests, dreams, gifts, or identities want more room to breathe?

How can I relate to my own complexity with curiosity instead of judgment?

How can my inner world support my fuller participation in relationships, work, creativity, leadership, and life?

Through IFS-informed practices, reflective exercises, nature-based exploration, dialogue, play, journaling, and collective intelligence, we will create space for insight, emotional awareness, connection, and practical integration.

Why IFS and Polymathy?

IFS helps us understand the many parts within us: protectors, wounded parts, managers, firefighters, inner critics, dreamers, defenders, and the deeper Self that can relate to them with compassion and clarity.

Polymathy helps us understand the many capacities within us: our diverse interests, intelligences, identities, skills, curiosities, and possible contributions.

Together, they offer a powerful frame:

  • Multiplicity is natural. Complexity does not need to be reduced. Wholeness comes through relationship, integration, and coherence.

  • This retreat is not about becoming simpler.

  • It is about becoming more whole.

Possible Outcomes

You may leave with:

  • A deeper understanding of your inner parts and personal patterns, so that you can respond to yourself with greater compassion, clarity, and choice rather than reacting on autopilot.

  • Greater permission to embrace your complexity, creativity, originality, and multidimensionality, so that you no longer feel pressured to shrink yourself to fit someone else's expectations.

  • A stronger sense of belonging without self-abandonment, so that you can build meaningful relationships while remaining fully yourself.

  • Greater clarity about a personal or professional challenge, so that you can move forward with greater confidence and less internal conflict.

  • A more integrated action plan for what matters most in your life, so that your next steps reflect your values, strengths, and whole self rather than just your obligations.

  • A renewed relationship with your curiosity, body, emotions, and inner wisdom, so that you can navigate life with greater vitality, resilience, and authenticity.

  • Connection with others who understand the challenges and gifts of living a multidimensional life, so that you leave feeling seen, supported, and less alone.

Who This Is For

This retreat may be especially meaningful for people who:

  • Feel called to be “more than one thing”

  • Have many interests, identities, roles, or creative impulses

  • Are navigating transition, reinvention, or life redesign

  • Want to move from overthinking into deeper embodiment

  • Are interested in IFS, polymathy, self-leadership, creativity, personal growth, or relational healing

  • Want to belong without shrinking, conforming, or abandoning themselves

  • You do not need to be an expert in IFS or polymathy to attend. Curiosity is enough.
